Happy Thanksgiving to you guys. Go Pioneers! Down with Webster!

In honor of this year's game, I'm sending you the "Battle Hymn of KHS" I wrote for the Call in 1966. It's sung to the tune of "The Battle Hymn of the Republic".

 

We're gonna beat the Statesmen on the Thursday of this week.

When they see the fierceness of our team, they'll feel humbled and meek.

We'll jump on them with all the might that we can muster up.

They haven't got a chance!

Sorry, sorry Webster High School. We'll try our hardest not to be cruel.

Last year we let you win, but it won't happen again. You haven't got a chance!

All of Kirkwood High School will turn out on Wednesday night.

We will watch the Webster Statesman burn, and cheer with all our might.

For we know that Kirkwood High School has the best team anywhere.

And we're going to win the bell!

Sorry, sorry Webster High School. We'll  try our hardest not to be cruel.

And just so we're still pals, you can dance with Kirkwood gals

at the Friendship Dance on Saturday night.
